- Improvement of the facilities for cultural performance
It is meant to enhance the accomplishment of people and then conduce to establishment of a "CUTURAL METROPOLIS". At present, there are "Cosmopolitan Performance Hall" and "Library of abundant book collection" we have possessed. In the future, we will be going to strive for the district court adapted for use by the fine art museum. Those activities arranged in the original art center will be moved out for our employing the court as a specialized performance hall. It will be a place for show practices, varied exhibitions and performances, and archives. Also, incorporated with monuments and scenic spots that will become into a group of museums. We will besides develop outdoor spaces such as historic spots, public places and the sides of canal, etc. As to the management of all these spaces, we are endeavoring to be a juridical person for minimizing the burden on the government.
- Revivification of monuments
Monuments are the cultural holdings that are most essential for Tainan City. "Cultural Park" is the concept submitted for integrating old streets, conventional properties, temples, churches, endemic snack food and souvenirs near the monuments into a historic region to provide sightseers to roam around, pay a visit, and luxuriate. Educational and emotional features are engendered midst. Consequently, giving an impetus to Confucian temple Park, Chihkan Park and Anping Park is now in progress.
- Culture into life and life into culture
Combining with life and culture has always been a significant objective as implementing government affairs since the establishment of the Bureau. Opening time extends till night is the idea "the presence of monuments for tourists" has turn into "the presence of monuments for citizens" . Musical salon operated in nights is to support this converted idea practically. In addition, folk celebrations we promote for example are Muzu Festival in March and Chinese Valentine's Day at the seventh evening of July. These are for enhancing the life of residents, boosting industries, prospering tourism, and "refining the culture of temples" upon Mayor Chang's momentous policy. According to Library, we popularize literary activities and reading custom. We encourage all the people to write and read besides experts.
