1.The Folklore Festival and Celebration

　(1)2006 Chinese New Year in Tainan – Invite the sons-in-low of TainanCity to be the guests.

　(2)Mazu Culture Festival: Connecting with the folklore artistry exhibits and plays, as well as 　the religion actions to make people understand the popular historical culture in Tainan.

　(3)Koxinga Culture Festival: In appreciation for the contribution of Koxinga to this island, and 　to commemorate his rule, the Cultural Affairs Bureau held the City Festival Celebration to 　promote the tourism as well as the historic sites in TainanCity.

　(4)Tainan International Chishi Art Festival-The Coming-Of-Age Celebration: It has been listed 　by The Ministry of Communication, Tourism Bureau as one of the twelve important folklore 　festivals as well as the main project of tourism promotion, besides, the Executive Yuan listed 　as the emphasis promotes action of Formosa International Art Festival Series.

　(5)Confucius TempleFestival: To present the history and collections of 　TainanConfuciusTemple, and operate a living museum in the city.

　(6) The mouthpiece of cultural action: A cute and auspicious mascot to make the historic 　sites more popular and impressed, furthermore to promote the cultural tourism.

2. Invite the science and technology expert to repair the historic sites.

　(1)The painting restoration of Shi-Jih Temple & Great Guan-Yi Booth (The 3rd grade historic 　site)

　To manually restore approximate 200 square meters of painting, the key point is “clean and 　restoration” to instead of “scrapping and re-painting” this is the first example of the historic 　sites’ painting restoration in Taiwan.

　(2)The OfficialMazuTemple, Mazu sculpture restoration (Grade one historic site)

　It’s the first example of big size clay sculpture restoration, which has the demonstrative and 　educational significance.

　(3)The OfficialGuan-GongTemple restoration (Grade one historic site)

　Using the “Unloading restoration”, the original materials were remained more than 85%, 　which have been highly evaluated by the Construction Inspection Section of Ministry of the 　Interior as well as the Historic Sites Inspection Committee of Tainan City.

3.The management and reuse of the historic sites

　(1) It’s in accordance with the principle of “Operation and Transfer” to manage the historic 　sites in TainanCity.

　(2)Operate Multiply: To set into the “Operation & Transfer” business, which has been 　qualified the No. 1 for 5 years successively by Ministry of the Interior.

　(3) “Operation and Transfer” makes the historic sites activated, not only providing the tourists 　information, but also cooperating with the community action to activate the historic sites.

　(4) Link up with great actions to promote historic sites

　(5) The night musicale in historic sites: In order to encourage the intimacy of the people to 　historic sites, we take place the musicale in ChihkanTower, ConfuciusTemple, Anping Old 　Fort, and Former Tait & Co.

　(6) The Tourists Insurance in historic sites: In order to provide more complete service to the 　tourists, since 2006, there are insurance and tourists guide service in the historic sites.

4.To carry out the preservation of cultural heritage:

　(1) To bring up the “Tainan Cultural Sites Investigation and Research Project”, “Tainan 　Traditional Art and Crafts Investigation and Research Project”, “Tainan Folklore and 　Collection Investigation and Research Project-The Sacrifice Rites and Parade of Temples” 　and the “Preservation Project for the Community Historic Sites” totally 4 items to promote 　the idea of cultural heritage preservation.

　(2) In 2006, established Inspection Committee for various categories of Cultural Heritage, 　there are “Historic Buildings Group and Cultural Sites”, “Collection and Relics”, ”Traditional 　Art, Folklore and the Relevant Collections”, and “Natural Sites” total 4 Commissions to 　inspect the Cultural Heritage of Tainan.

5. The Sustainable Development of Community

　(1) Establishing the community in the whole city makes the quantity increased.

　(2) Establishing e-community makes the quality replenished.

6. Reconstructing high quality cultural space

　(1) In order to provide more recreation spaces and present the brilliant aspect of the City, we 　demolished the wall of Koxinga Shrine.

　(2) The improvement of the whole landscape of TainanMunicipalCultureCenter won the 2006 　Gardening Prize, the Beautiful New World.

　(3) In order to green the Eternal Golden Fort, we plant on the bulwark and center ground, 　then the tourists may have an extensive view.

7. New State of Artistry, improvement of the Exhibition and Performance

　(1) To invite the outstanding performance association

　(2) Take place high quality performance and increase the culture level.

　(3) Establishing the subsidizing and supporting system to encourage the research and 　　performance of the local artistic creativity group.

1.To take care of the feebleness, open the creation space for the handicapped artists, and 　operate a love-full society.

　(1)Set on the regulation of performance for the Street Corner Artists, and provide the 　handicapped artists a space for creation.

　(2) Set on the salvage regulation for the Artists, and carry out the ticket-discounting project.

Tainan is the capital of Taiwan religion and heritage, to design and integrate of the folklore ceremony, historic sites and cultural resources could promote the characters of the cultural, artistic, and religious city.
